What you're describing sounds like pantheism which I've read ascribed to by others who see themselves both in the atheist and pagan boats.

After many years following Asatru pretty strictly I came to a self realization over my lacking of belief in deity. For quite some time not sure where I fit I continued to still use the pagan label. As you said it's a bit of a hodgepodge. I learned last month about a movement called humanist pagans. Its a bit of a combination of athiest and pagan.

One thing for sure is that once I started looking I've learned I'm not that unusual.

If you can't trace your anscestry far back enough to find it in your bloodline, then usually your obvious predispositions towards things magickal, and 'witchy' will be used as a guideline. That said, anyone can learn the Craft, though without a predisposition one would never seek it. As for witchcraft being of 'devilish' or of a 'negative nature' - all things are a combination of both negative and positive, so naturally witchcraft is no exception to the rule. Witchcraft is an art form, and preisthood, a path to the spirit - like the Crafts of the shaman, the healer, the wisewoman, the medicine man; the Craft of the witch is one belonging to the relations between wo/man, and the great providence, mother earth, gaia, the goddess. can these protection spells be used by anyone . I have read bout creating an angel in paulo's "The Pilgrimage'. I, too, hope to create a guardian for myself . But I am unable to concentrate and create one I don't worry cause I already have a feeling that there is angel or spirit working for me and protecting me from every thing that is negative.

Thank you kindly for your heartfelt reply. I truly can view things from your perspective, since I haven't myself trekked there physically, in this incarnation. I have some deep and detailed memories of a past existence in a recent incarnation in Tibet, and have since I was very young. This is mainly what prompts me to write about Tibet here.

I do not doubt a thing you say, au contraire, I am compelled by your transformation to seek one myself. I hold a certain acute bitterness towards the Chinese for their trecheries in Tibet; I would like to feel more at peace about Tibet without risking the dedication I will forever have, to set those unfairly captured, free.

I will probably do as you have, and seek to travel there in some time. Thank you for sharing here, no doubt your words here have left me with much to ponder.
